Our school administrators are considering going to the IMPACT model next year. I am all for it. I love technology and when I was in the classroom, I integrated technology as much as I possibliy could. When I have mentioned going to the IMPACT model to teachers, their first reaction is, "You mean to tell me that I am going to lose a SPECIAL class? This means that I will have a day without any breaks!" These teachers are not able to see the true benefits of the IMPACT model because they can't get past the fact that they will not have a break one day of the week. As a former classroom teacher myself, I can see their point. Has anyone found a solution to this dilemma?
