This is a request for furniture technical assistance. Does anyone know how to take apart a hooded caster? I have just discovered that someone with time to waste and a room of accomplices has removed one of the casters from a computer lab chair and has treaded through it a LAN cable. I have been trying to disassemble the caster so I can extricate the cable but have been unable to find the spot where the pieces are connected. There are no visible screws; so far pulling on the wheels and stem have had no effect. If I knew how casters were assembled I could take it apart but my knowledge base does not include this information. Any offline suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
