I have been asking our principal to purchase a computer monitoring program for our computer lab. He has finally agreed but would like it to be a multi functioning program. Based on info in the archives I looked in Vision and Synchroneyes. Either of them would seem to work to monitor what is going on and to restrict access during instruction. However, he wants a program that would easily allow teachers to trace what websites students had accessed while they were on the lab computers. I am not an expert in tech matters so I cannot tell by looking at these programs if that capability is possible. Would someone who has had experience using a lab monitoring program let me know if it is easy to use; has the capability of easily tracking websites; if blocking printer access is possible.
