[LM_NET] SEC: Ben Mikaelsen

We had Sy Montgomery, author of THE GOOD GOOD PIG, to speak to our
students after we had an all school read of her book, and it was a
wonderful experience. Next year we are interested in having Ben
Mikaelsen to speak to students about his books.  We are reading TOUCHING
SPIRIT BEAR now and are interested in reading one more of his books in
the fall  and having him come in January of 2008.  This is a high
school, and I think his books are more for junior high students, but
with an all school read, you have to consider 9-12 so we need something
with a message that will have broad appeal.   I would love any
suggestions about his other books and comments about his visits if you
have had him at your schools.  We would also like for him to speak to
the teachers in the afternoon for a short staff developement meeting.
I look forward to any comments that you have about him and his books.
