Hi, I posted a few weeks ago and stated that "please realize that web 2.0 and books need not be mutually exclusive...."" I think a splendid example of that is the site developed and maintained by Sonja Cole at www.bookwink.com Sonja does a great job of using Web 2.0 to promote reading and literacy. The site is professionally designed and child/student-centered for grades 3-8. It's a perfect respite for those of us who hug both our iPods and books. :-) I think it has wide appeal for kids and serves as a strong model for how we can be forward thinking in promoting reading-it's the "new" booktalk. Please take a peek when you have the time.
