GEN: advice on searching for plagiarism I am sending a quick note to help people use the Internet more effectively when searching for plagiarism. The first thing to know is that most search engines cannot handle more than 10 words at a time. If small phrases, both with and without quotes, are not producing results, take the 10 most uncommon words and use them to search. Do not use quotes. Finally, if your student speaks another language, you may wish to translate the quote into the other language and do another search.
