I am trying to bring the poet & griot (African story teller) Kwabena Dinizulu to the area the week of February 12th. He is awesome! I used to work in a huge district down in Florida and he came out and did assemblies for all grade levels over the course of a week (elementary to high school). His performances are educational (tailored to your school's individual needs), captivating and worth every penny. The last school where I worked was a bit urban and we always had issues keeping the 400 seat auditorium quiet during assemblies. Kwabena kept them quiet as church mice for a 60 minute performance. It was awe inspiring. At my last school I was able to find local businesses to sponsor him because we did not have a budget for assemblies. I am planning to do the same at this school too. Please contact me at school (phone # and email below) if you have any questions or are interested in having an amazing performer come to your school. Stephanie E.
