Hi All,
Since this is my area - my advice is to watch and observe, target
influential players and sympathetic teachers, begin small, always
clearly delineate roles, advertise your successes everywhere - in the
school foyer, as a guest at the parents meetings, school newsletter,
reports to principal/board. Document and program your involvement and
set it in the core business of the school using that language - ie.
student learning outcomes. TLs work at the big picture level - literacy
and information literacy. Eventually they will come to you.
:)

Okay, so let's pretend that WE were in charge of teaching pre-service or
inservice administrators about teacher/librarian collaboration. What
would your advice be to them?

Best,
Toni (having entirely too much fun with these chapters!)
