Hello,

I am preparing to start an inventory this year and I am struggling with
our Dolphin PHD+. We have had tons of trouble with these things in my
district, and this is the first time in three years that I've gotten to
the point where the scanner will actually scan a barcode. Now a new set
of issues has cropped up! My questions are this:

1. Is there any way to see the list of barcodes you've scanned in the
Dolphin through the Dolphin itself, or must you download the whole list
to your computer and upload it into Destiny to see it?

2. My Dolphin seems to scan without a problem BUT I've read in several
manuals online that you can type barcode numbers into the Dolphin by
pressing F1 and then typing the number - mine doesn't seem to want to do
that. It's almost like it's stuck in "letter" mode, where the number
keys are registering as numbers instead of letters, because I can see
the little letters appear at the top of the "scan a barcode" screen (for
example, if I press number 8 on the Dolphin, a D flashes briefly on the
screen.)

I know that tech support is an option here but our contact for tech
support is the district tech coordinator, and she's so busy with other
schools that it seems like a hassle to bother her with these little
issues. I really want to get started with the inventory, however, and
some of our book barcodes need to be hand-typed because they are too
faded to scan. Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can
provide.
