The recent talk about where are the librarian jobs is why is why it is so important for librarians who have any interest in keeping their jobs or helping others to find jobs to help support this legislation. It was introduced to congress at the end of June and has the goal of placing a qualified school librarian in every classroom in the country - not just in high schools (as is currently the case in many states) but in all schools. It's time for us to put our writing skills to good use to save our jobs for this generation of children, and the next one, who are growing up without school librarians.
