The liberal, or at least middle-of-the-road, members of any religion that
recognizes both good and evil would find plenty to agree with in the Harry Potter
books. However, they are not infused with anywhere near as many biblical concepts
as the Narnia books. Any uniquely Christian concepts or symbolism in Harry Potter
would have to be chalked up to its British origins. Although Great Britain is now a
post Christian society, they still have a state church, and still celebrate
Christmas, but diety is only acknowledged in the most general terms - not terribly
different from Harry.
