[LM_NET] GEN: Chris Soentpiet author visit?

If any of you have hosted or know of a school that has hosted Chris Soentpiet 
within the past few years I would like to get your impressions positive and 
negative (if any). Since money is limited for an author visit I need to get the 
very best for our expenditures.
 
I really like his work, but as many of you know an author visit is more than the 
author's books. It has to do with being able to reach the students, to be 
engaging/entertaining (dare I say), to hold their attention, and communicate on 
their level as well as excite them about writing/illustrating. 
 
The intended audience members are K-5th students in a public elementary school. We 
would create awareness of his books, style, and integrate lessons from the books 
(and of course, read them) into the curriculum. Clearly a successful visit is 
achieved when the students, teachers, staff and parents know the author!
