Hi. My son will be a senior at the University of Illinois. He is on the meats judging team, and they are spending two weeks in Australia beginning June 29. They will be traveling to Sydney, and Brisbane. What I was wondering is what kind of temperature range and weather can they expect. Also, they will be spending some of the time in dorms with dorm food, but will need to buy some meals on their own. What kind of food places are available, and what does a typical meal cost? I really don't have any idea how much money he may need to have with him. Should he have a credit card, of a debit card, etc.? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. As a side bar. When my son called to tell us about his opportunity, he said, "Mom, what are the two things Dad always told me?" Marry money, and go to Australia. My husband spent his R&R from VietNam in Australia, and has always said it's one of two places he's been that he would go back. (The other is Hawaii.) He's "offered" to go as chaperone. Now, if only my son can marry money!!!!
