I've found books behind others too so what I have done as I inventory at the end of 
the year is push the whole shelf of books back when I have finished inventorying a 
shelf. If anything is back there you'll know it right away( sometimes it's not 
books!) I leave the books this way over the summer and when we come back in the 
fall we dust the front of the shelves and move the books forward again.  This is a 
good job for my new aides when I have them since we are not really busy yet and it 
gives them somewhat of a refresher as to where books are located. Darlene
