Good morning,

Seeking help of school and children's librarians on a curriculum question...

Is there a book in your library that says
American Indians say 'hello' by saying "How" and holding up a hand?

This is a serious question. I am fielding
questions about American Indian culture from
second graders (via an internet blog), and nearly
every one of them is asking this question. I'm
trying to figure out how they have learned this.

You can respond off-list to me, or post to my blog:

Thanks,
Debbie
