I just got into my first shipment of Playaways. Randomly I selected CHARLIE AND
THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, to familiarize myself with the peripherals that are
available from Follett for the Playaways. Was I ever surprised to hear Bill
O'Reilly's voice reading CULTURE WARRIOR. I am sure this is a fluke, but at the
same time, it might be a good idea to check the real content on each Playaway
before it is circulated.

I was quite disappointed in the quality of the Wireless FM Converter that was sold
with the Playaways. It is poorly constructed and would never hold up under
circulation. There are 5 station choices and none of them work in my area. On top
of that, the directions obviously were written by someone who is not very fluent in
English. Has anyone else had this experience?

If you circulate Playaways, do you put a book copy of the text with the audio? I
can't decide if that would be a good idea or not.

I would think that many others might want to hear the comments, but feel free to
write to me, off list.

In advance, thank you.Patrice Huckaby, library media specialistSouth Central
