I got tired of kids borrowing items from me. I was usually not near my
desk when they asked for something, so I put a box on the circulation
desk with the following:
Stapler
Ruler
Tape Dispenser
Scissors
Three-hole punch
(the above all have a security strip hidden in them)
A box of collected pens and pencils ... left by students, collected by
custodians from the grounds, different recruiters, or from conferences
I've attended.
Paper ... again, left by students used but not taken from printer etc.
On the box there is a sign that says:
SUPPLIES:
Please use and return ... If the person before you did not return it, it
would be here for you to use.
By the OPACs I have a 4 x 5 small trays with scrap paper in them to use.
There is a sign, PENCIL? try supply drawer.
