Have any of you used a service that advertises "Fall Outdoor Movie Nights" where
they bring an outdoor movie theater to the school for an "event under the stars"?
They setup and take down the equipment, do popcorn during the show, and provide
music an hour beforehand.? We had received a fax from this service and our
secretary called to find out about it thinking we might be able to use them for our
Parent Night we have to have for Title 1.? The cost is $700.
The glitch is that we are to provide the movie.? We will not be charge for the
movie (except from the company we are paying to use the eqpt.).? I told the
secretary that I don't see how we could do this...if we provide the movie...we do
not have permission to show it.? It's not being used in an educational setting or
situation in class instruction but to a large group for entertainment.
Anyone else have any suggestions on what I need to tell her?? The secretary thought
we might be able to get CR permission and I told her that takes a long time and
that's something rarely given.
