Greetings, Colleagues: If you can recommend a "must read" biography or two, or an outstanding author or publisher for high quality young adult biographies, I would be extremely grateful. We have a tired, boring biography collection with few subjects after the 1980s. Our 6-8 teachers are frustrated and so are their students. I need to spice it up. I am not looking for hi-low biographies, and definitely not the 110-page "Oh, do I HAVE to read...?" biographies, complete with, glossary, web links, Aunt Minnie's address, etc., but great life stories of people that are of interest to early teens today. Any suggestions? Thanks so much.
