Esteemed colleagues, Our district is looking at new online library systems, and have had several proposals for systems hosted at a remote site. We are wondering if anyone has had experience with this. Besides the obvious cost savings of not purchasing a server for the system, what are other benefits of a remote hosted system. And, more importantly, what are the drawbacks? Has anyone tried it and switched back to a local server? If enough interest I will post a hit. Thank you.
