We are using Destiny to check out textbooks. The library has been tasked with this
assignment.

We checked out over 3,000 textbooks in the first week of school. Our aide has filed
an on-the-job injury because of damage to her hand. Now professionals are tasked
with the checkout as she cannot do it.

We expect 2,000 textbooks to be checked in through the library in December, and
another 2,000 textbooks to be checked out the 1st week in January.

How have you handled this?

How has your school handled this?

It has been a disaster here. We had to delay book checkout and orientation for 9th
graders because of the textbooks.

We will also be in full help mode at the end of the semester at the same time that
we need to check-in textbooks.

Our bookkeeper is new. He doesn't have an accurate list of books returned or books
out. He doesn't know Excel.

Teachers were not required to buy in to the system, so they produced their own list
of overdue textbooks. They are not recorded in Destiny.

I have a meeting scheduled with the principal and assistant principal for
Wednesday, because this is killing us and our program. The students are argueing
with us over lost books, that have never been checked out through us.

Tell me wat I can do. I need to have some positive solutions, as the assistant
principal who put this system into place is not being helpful.

Many thanks in advance!

Adam
