The seventh grade teacher of the gifted is looking for a novel for his students to read to tie in with Halloween--horror, science fiction, the occult. He wants to use this with all of his students. In addition, he wants a collection of nonfiction books that relate to the subject. My challenges: Find a fiction book that is challenging and intriguing, but one that won't have parents complaing that we're teaching witchcraft. The teacher suggested Ray Bradbury, though that doesn't seem Halloweeny to me. I think I'm looking for something creepy and paranormal, maybe about ESP or telepathy. I eagerly await your collective wisdom and out-of-the box thinking. -- Sandra Lingo, Librarian Delhi Middle School 5280 Foley Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45238 slingo47@fuse.net -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
