Attn Tricia: The e-mail I sent to you was just returned. At my school, which is K-2, we do AR but we have a school wide goal and we count the number of books passed with 80% accuracy. First grade students won't start testing until about January and our kindergarten students don't really participate but we all still share the reward which is an assembly at the end of the year. This year we're having a mad scientist program. This plan seems to work really well for us. It's fairly laid back and gives an overall feeling that every child contributes so every child gets the reward. Some teachers go more in depth in their classroom giving rewards for reading a certain number of books.
