[LM_NET] 5th grade novels about Civil War and Revolutionary War

My 5th grade teachers are searching for novels to use with reading circles in 
conjunction with studies about the Civil War and the Revolutionary War.  This year 
they used Johnny Tremaine(found it much too difficult and way too long) and Witch 
of Blackbird Pond, but would like to use different ones next year.  Any suggestions?
