Thank you for all of your responses. Here is what I received. I did try it last
night but the url seems to be embedded, and would not let me. So I tried to
contact the person directly to see if he would let me use it.

Go to www.zamzar.com

Download it as an "avi" file and you will be able to play it from your

hard drive.

You are free to use it as an open source, but may need to convert the

file to an MP4. Use Zamzar.com to convert the file. It takes a few

days, but it is free and they will email the converted file. You will

also need to be sure the file is not blocked by your filter.

You need to download a program called Tubesucker. Along with their

program which pulls the video off YouTube, you need an FLV player, which

you can also get on the Tubesucker site.

Link: www.newrad.com/software/tubesucker

I pull videos all the time because you really can find great stuff.

You can download a you tube video. Go to Google and do a search

download youtube video. You will need to download a special player, but it is

easy. You do sometime lose the color when you download.
  Suzanne,
You can convert it to another format by using one of these.

Several people I know use zamzar.com to download and convert.

If you download a youtube video, it'll be in an flv format, which won't

match applications such as Windows Media. You'll have to convert it to

a wmv file. That's where zamzar comes in.

I use Zamzar (www.zamzar.com) when I need to use a YouTube video. I

download it at home and have it converted to a Windows Media or

 Quicktime

format and then I can play it at school.

  Try this:
If teachers want certain videos off of YouTube, they can search at home,
copy/paste the URL for that video into the online zamzar site. http://zamzar.com/

I use an online file conversion called zamzar.com. Works very well.

 Select

the second tab, paste in the YouTube URL, select the file type you

 want, and

then wait for the email that links to a download.

I use http://www.getmiro.com/. It is free...and easy!

You can use a site like: http://vixy.net/ to download videos from

 youtube.

Converts to: MP4 for Ipod (in the drop down box) works with Windows

 Media Player.

The site downloads and converts the file and then gives you a link to

 download the

converted file. The site is often busy and unavailable in the late

 afternoon and evenings.
