We are looking for videos appropriate in subject and level for beginning students of Spanish in 5th and 6th grade. Ideally these would feature characters who appear in many episodes depicting different stories or situations, rather than straight grammar and vocabulary lessons. I have found Salsa at the K-2 level, and we already use La Catrina for 7-8, but that is too advanced. The same company (Pearson, Canada) has a more elementary video set called Eres tu, Maria, but customer service couldn't tell me anything about it, and had no way for me to preview it before I spend over $200 for the 2-disk set. Does anyone know this series? Are your teachers using anything like what I described? I appreciate any help you can offer! Maureen S.
