[LM_NET] HELP need a scanning question answered asap

I am having some text documents sent to me in TIFF format. Did I make the right 
choice? Next question: resolution 200 or 300dpi. Which is best?
   
  Thanks from a scanning novice. I can do pictures, but I haven't done much text.
