[LM_NET] Vendor product vent

This is sort of a vent, but also a question because this may be my fault for using 
the product incorrectly...

Has anyone had trouble with Demco "clear glossy label protectors"?  We just 
replaced the spine labels on all of our 500's (thanks to a predecessor who put them 
on facing the wrong way- but that's another story).

Rather than dealing with getting a purchase order for Avery label stickers, we 
printed them out on paper, cut the numbers to fit and secured them with the label 
protectors.  Now, a week later they are all unpeeling from ALL of the spines!  Was 
my mistake that I relied on them to be the labels rather than just label protectors 
or did I just get a bad batch?

Luckily I've got a students "working off" the fines for a lost book- she's 
diligently re-taping them all with 3M book tape.
