Instead of a game or "fun" lesson how about highlighting the three sections
of the collection where the students will find these materials? You could do
a short talk about classification. Have on had some of the books from the
570s for science, then the 610s for applied science. Maybe even have a few
on the table and ask the students to look them over and come up with reasons
why some are classified in the 500s and the others in the 600s. Then maybe
even pull up some from the 790s on exercise. IF you didn't pull everything
from the shelves, then have them go in groups to the different sections and
see what else is there they could use.

"In the midst of all the conversations about the teacher who wanted books
pulled at the last minute, I got an email from one of my science teachers to
pull books for her on the human body and its organs. Taking some of the
excellent advice offered by Netters, I wrote this teacher a note that said
(in short) I'm happy to help her but I'd also like to help her students be
successful and could we incorporate some Info Lit skills into the search for
these materials? She responded positively and said she would bring her
classes in to the media center the Tuesday after Spring Break so I could
give them a lesson on finding these books/materials. :o)
