Greetings to the collective wisdom:

Here's one for our multi-lingual members...

One of our 4th year Spanish teachers came to me today asking
if I knew of any county study sites written in SPANISH. He
would like something like the ABC-CLIO World Geography
database or the CIA World Factbook. However, it has to be
in Spanish. He wants the typical country study information:
agricultural and industrial products, demographics,
government, cultural information, foods, history, etc.

I don't know Spanish beyond simple phrases and a few
courtesy words, so while I could probably search for the
sites, I would not know what I was looking at beyond the
surface.

Could any of you recommend good non-subscription sites for
country studies in Spanish? Whatever you send me, I'll
shoot over to Jose and let him decide what he wants to use.

Please reply off list and I'll publish a HIT if there is
interest.

Thanks!
