LM_NET Archive



The system is moving to 13 numbers, because of the quantity of books
published.  They could see that they were going to run out of numbers
using the 10 number ISBN.  So the old books still can use their 10 digit
ISBN, but are also getting a 13 number ISBN. New books will have only
the 13 digit number.

Subject: GEN: Book notation questions

On the ISBN's on the back of the book, what's the difference between the
ISBN-10 and the ISBN-13?  One of us says it's the size, the other says
it's whether it's a paperback or not...a cup of tea hangs on the bet!
