I received a number of suggestions through LM_NET and when I was out searching the
Internet, I came up with a few more sites.
In order to perform a scientific study, I selected a group of titles, created a
spread sheet, tallied the totals and came up with some interesting information. If
you would like a copy of the spread sheet, send me an email request. I don't think
I can post an attachment in LM_NET.
Not all companies carried all the titles, which did not make my research completely
equal. However, I did get a valid sense of where the best prices are. I compared
titles from nine companies: Amazon.com, Popular Magazine Service, Gold Coast
Magazines, Magazines.com, Alini, Ebsco (I found a site for waiting room
subscriptions which was much less expensive than EBSCO Information Services (where
many libraries get their subscriptions), Discount and Discount Mags.com, Demco,
Subscription Service of America.
Many companies had the same prices on their titles, some were a few $$ either way.
Some offered huge savings on some titles, but not so much on others.
