Do any of you maintain a current subscription to the Readers' Guide? I'd also like reason for and against maintaining the subscription. I've worked in several different libraries over the past six years, none of which continued the subscription but kept back issues as an example for student instruction. I've recently taken the place of a librarian who retired just before winter break. He was here for 31 years and there's lots of cleaning out and updating to be done, so I want to make an informed decision in this case. Also, what are your policies for maintaining back issues of periodicals such as daily newspapers and magazines?
