[LM_NET] HS: American Literature Book and American Play

I need names of good contemporary books and plays appropriate for junior
class American literature. I have an English teacher who is looking for a
different American literature book and a new American play to teach next
year. She has been teaching The Crucible and Huckleberry Finn for years and
would like something new. What are your English teachers teaching for
American Literature? Do you know of any really good modern American plays
under 350 words that students enjoy?  Thank you. I will post a hit.
