HI, Jumping in late on this one. I use Wespen in PA because I can call and talk to
the owner, John George, and he will match or beat any price you find...personal
service. <www.wespen.com> Sara Johns

Shonda Brisco <sbrisco@GMAIL.COM> wrote: A big thank you to everyone who offered
suggestions and sites for
places to look for the best pricing on overhead projector bulbs. I
have compiled the list which includes several vendors in Texas, but
many from around the nation. Hopefully, others will be able to find a
great resource or perhaps someone new to try when the supplies run
low! Here's the HIT:
*************************************************************************************

I buy mine from Visual Techniques out of Longview. The website is
http://www.VisualTechniques.com
They are great people to work with!

I buy bulbs from Boyd's Audio/Visual. They are located in San Antonio.
Their toll -free number is 1-800-459-9104. They sell most of their bulbs
for $7.80 each.

When I did the bulb purchasing (about 5 years ago), I used bulbman at
http://www.bulbman.com (1-800-648-1163). I got the name from fellow
librarians,
and I was pleased with the service and price--but again this was awhile
back.

I use Visual Techniques. http://www.visualtechniques.com
They are located here in Longview but do business in other areas of the state
too. Not always the very lowest price, but comparable, and great
individualized service too.

Audio Visual Aids, Inc. in San Antonio!

I use Scott Electric, 1000 S. Main St, Greensburg, PA 15601
1-800-442-8045, Fax: 1-877-837-8906, email: sld@scottelectricusa,com
http://www.scottelectricusa.com
no minimum order, free shipping and handling, same day shipping

I use Audio Visual Aids out of San Antonio.
http://www.audiovisualaids.com/

Have you tried Master Audio-Visual out of Longview?
http://www.masterav.com
Their contact info is 1-800-256-2754. Ask for Cliff, Kevin, or Sam
and tell them I sent you.
They usually throw a fun party/dinner during TLA too!

I've used Top Bulb http://www.topbulb.com/Default.asp for years
Prices are wholesale and quality is great!

The former head of our math department always used Cousins Video
http://store.cousinsvideo.com/au1.html It seems to have the best
prices I have seen.

Another resource also in Longview is Visual Techniques.
www.visualtechniques.com
Their contact info is 1-800-777-1798. Ask for Wylie.
Hope this helps.

I've always had good prices and service with http://www.bulbman.com
for overhead projector bulbs as well as many others.

I put in an order with topbulb, Summer 2007, while I was in the
States. I'm an international school librarian, and needed a quick
turnaround during the summer break. I thought the Internet ordering
system, price, selection, and shipping from top bulb was all great.
They also provided some promotional deals - but I couldn't make use of
that because of my relatively brief purchasing window.
http://www.topbulb.com

We use Heartland. Their EYB bulbs are 6.60 each. With
large orders, they give a price break. They also have other
bulbs.

I use Tersch 800-328-2048 http://www.terschproducts.com

Visual Techniques, Longview Tx are very reasonable - 6.95 for ENX and 6.68
for EYB. You must pay shipping..... They are online, but my computer died
last week and I don't have it saved....

There are some good prices at Audio Visual Aids Corp. in San Antonio.
They put out a nice catalog of all kinds of AV equipment.
www.audiovisualaids.com

I use Heartland. http://www.heartland-av.com
They've got great prices and shipping time is pretty quick.

We always use Master Audio-Visuals out of Longview. We've been
customers since the company was founded over 20 years ago. I'm not sure
who the rep would be for your area, but you can contact the company at
800-256-2754 and tell them that I referred you to them. They will be
exhibiting at TCEA, so you can stop by their booth to meet the guys.
They're great!

Our school district deals with Visual Techniques out of Longview. They
ship the same day and I get them quickly... they are so easy to work
with. This is their web site: http://www.visualtechniques.com

I always use Texas Electronic Supply out of Lubbock. They are a small
company and have always served me well. Their phone number is

I like Heartland Audio-Visual.

Audio Visual Aids Corp.
2903 North Flores St.
San Antonio, TX 78212-3297
800-422-1282

Try Audio Visual Aids Corp out of San Antonio. Phone # is 800-422-1282
or you can go online at http://www.audiovisualaids.com
I receive my orders within a week after they are faxed.

I order from Audio Visual Aids in San Antonio. I don't know if they
are the cheapest (probably not), but they have great service. I order
my multimedia projectors from them, too, and they give a great price
if you call for a quote.
BHC/DYS/DYV lamp =$10
ENX for 3-M overheads = $11.30

Audio Visual Aids. Corp.
2903 N. Flores St.
800-422-1282
San Antonio, TX 78212-3297

We use state purchase contract: Here's the link to that part of the
on-line catalog.
 http://www2.cpa.state.tx.us/cat_page/cat_285_a1_0410.html

Vendor was E Sam Jones:
Commodity Code 285-45-79XXX-X

ENX are $ 3.80
DYS are $ 3.95
FXL are not on the list so we get quotes. $ 4.95 through Audio Visual
Aids in San Antonio
There are minimum orders to get the shipping included in the price
above (usually $ 250 worth). I purchase in bulk from the Central
Library account & then distribute them as requested (usually 5 at a
time). I have them stored in the old card catalog. : )
We use if for equipment too. For example a 3M 1860 overhead projector
is only $ 137.98.
Your purchasing department should be aware of this resource

Ken Martin School Supply. They usually can get any bulb you need.
Their number is 1-800-467-5808. I usually call and tell them what I
need.

We use Scott Electric.
http://www.nw-service.k12.mn.us/scott.htm

I just ordered a bunch of bulbs from Topbulb, http://www.topbulb.com
They are my primary bulb vendor. If this order goes like most others, it
will take longer for the paperwork to go through our office than for the
bulbs to arrive once they actually get the order.

I order from Camcor. They have some kind of vendor agreement with our
state, and we get a discount. It might be worth checking into whether
TX has such a thing, or if they can give you a discount.
Camcor, Inc.

"The Presentation Solutions Company"

Burlington, NC 27216-1899
Voice: 336-228-0251
Fax: 336-222-8011
http://www.camcor.com

I keep getting catalogs from Scott Electric. We have been
getting bulbs through our BOCES repair service. It's one less thing I
need to budget and I just order enough to keep some on hand. It's very
useful for our older overhead machines that will be phased out before
too long.

I order overhead bulbs from DEMCO
PO Box 7488
Madison WI, 53707-7488

We use a company called First Lighting out of Memphis,TN. They have very
competitive prices and ship free for orders $100.00 or more. They also ship
promptly. The telephone number is 1-800-326-6197. Hope this helps.
I am really pleased wtih Scott Electric. The stuff comes quick and the
prices are the best, though that could be because we have a statewide
contract with them.

fax 1-877-837-8906

I have used two companies that both have excellent service and good
prices. One is Top Bulb (they have a web page) and the other is Bulb
Direct. They also have a web site and their 800 number is
800-772-5267. I hope this helps.

I use Bulb Direct whose website is http://www.bulbdirect.com They are
very prompt
and seem to have the cheapest prices.

We use Bulb Source out of Oklahoma City. Their prices are VERY
reasonable and shipping is only $5.95, regardless of how many you
purchase. Here is the link:
http://www.bulb-source.com/

I use International Lighting Corporation,7939 New Jersey Avenue, Hammond

http://www.bulbdirect.com

Visual Techniques 1-800-777-1798
Good price and they have been in business about 30 years
