Hi, Amy --

Try any of the "Ask An Expert" sites. I just googled the general phrase for
you, and I got back lots of excellent sources for experts. .

http://www.google.com/search?source=ig
28the+OR+an%29+expert%22>
&hl=en&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENUS257&q=%22ask+%28the+OR+an%29+expert%22

A second, more specific google inquiry that also asked for "(wild OR large)
animals" came up with some opportunities to contact no-kidding large animal
experts.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en
n%29+expert%22+%22%28large+OR+wild%29+animals%22>
&rlz=1G1GGLQ_ENUS257&q=%22ask+%28the+OR+an%29+expert%22+%22%28large+OR+wild%
29+animals%22

If you haven't used an expert site before, what happens is that people with
expertise in different fields volunteer to receive inquiries, most notably
from students, about their field of expertise. One of my classes talked to
a volcano expert (by email) who was wonderful with his answer, so wonderful
in fact that the teacher from my building and the volcano expert developed
an online friendship!

I THINK there are also experts available through Kathy Schrock's website,
ipl.org, and libraryspot.com if you can't find what your looking for through
the two google inquiries.

Subject: TARGET: Career names & big cats

Good morning all,

I have a student looking for the name for someone who studies big cats. She
is looking at a biology major and wants to specialize. Is there something
along the lines of primatology for this field? I am striking out on my
searches here.
