Next week I have the privilege to speak in several preservice classes. I am very pleased to have the opportunity to stress the importance of collaborating with media specialists, something I think is often neglected in teacher education classes. I will be working with teacher candidates in everything from kindergarten, middle school, and reading, to special education. What things do you think are most important for me to include? I was even thinking of making a "Top Ten List of Things Media Specialists Would Like You to Know" I also plan to give them examples of forms for collaboration and other activities. I want them to become teachers looking forward to working with a media specialist. Thanks for any input you can give me.
