[LM_NET] Gen: serve on a YALSA committee or jury

Spring is just around the corner and that means YALSA is looking for
members to donate their time and expertise by serving on process
committees and juries! Here is a list of all the committees:

If you would like to be considered for an appointment to one of these
committees or juries you will need to fill out an online volunteer form
www.ala.org/ala/yalsa/joinus/committeevolunteer.cfm  

If you are currently on a committee/jury and would like to be considered
for reappointment to the same committee/jury, you will also need to fill
out this form.  When you fill out the form please try to provide some
information that will indicate what committee would be a good match for
you-do you have special skills or experiences? A desire to be on a
particular committee/jury? These are all good things to know when
filling these committees/juries.

Please submit your volunteer forms by no later than March 1 in order to
be considered for an appointment.  If you're appointed, your term will
begin July 2008 and end July 2009.

Please note that we are not appointing to award or selection committees
at this time.  Those appointments take place in the early fall of each
year.  Also, committee/jury participation normally requires attendance
at conferences.  If you are unable to attend, but want to participate in
YALSA, volunteer to serve on a process committee or jury as a virtual
member or get involved with one of our discussion or interest groups.
