We purchased the iPod classic because the hard drive is large enough to hold everything that United Streaming has available. I am sure that some of the smaller ones will work fine, but they cost almost as much as the larger one. Each video clip will differ in the size. If you can find a good price on one that is larger than a 5G which uses a universal docking station, it would be ok. I personally think that 5G is a bit small and would limit your abilities. I want to order ipods for that purpose, but I am confused by all the information on the internet. Could someone please help me out? The older 5 G ipods used to work with more generic cables. I want to load video on the ipod, play it and then delete it. Even though it will mostly be used for short videos, is 5 G adequate for a full length movie. I hate to spend $300 for an ipod with the $50 cable if I could get a two ipods for the same money that would work. I'm also reading about Apple changing the functions so they can no longer connect to TV. Can anyone guide me to what I really want for the library?
