Crank by Ellen Hopkins is one of the most popular titles at my school. I have four
girls waiting for more copies to come in. I have an English teacher who was quite
impressed by the book and would like to use it for a group of her students. Has
anyone developed any curriculum materials that would apply to this title?

“Our suicidal poets (Plath, Berryman . . . et al) spent too much of their lives
inside rooms and classrooms when they should have been trudging up mountains,
slogging through swamps, rowing down rivers. The indoor life is the next best
thing to premature burial.”
