Some respondents have asked me more more information, so I will attempt to be more
clear.

I am new at the high school level and am not well-versed on the curriculum, but the
standards are the ones assigned to CA. Students have never had information
literacy instruction delivered by the credentialed librarian. Students need to
learn how to use the OPAC and search for a book. They also need understand what
plagiarism is.

This is my only opportunity to deliver this information to the teachers. I will
have about 2 hours of time, so I would like to mesmerize them with my abilities.
Can you help?

I have started collecting hits and will post them tomorrow.

Thanks!

Maxine

Yikes!!! I have been swamped with working at two high schools (total 2500
students) and a third for textbooks issues. I will finally have an opportunity to
present a high school age research class to the local teachers on Mar 10. I am the
only credentialed librarian in the 16-school district and I haven't had any
opportunity to instruct.

I could use some great ideas. I hope that you can help me. We use MLA format.
