Have an 8th Grade English class starting a research project about Humanitarians. Need ideas on people that would be good for 8th graders to research. Quote from teacher: "Soon we will be beginning a research project in 8th grade language arts. I would like to compile a list of at least 26 humanitarians. These can be people who have given of themselves in any number of ways for the good of others-people who inspire you and are good role models! I want to promote volunteerism and just plain old good service to the community and world. I plan on requiring three sources, one of which cannot be from the internet. I would also like some non-traditional humanitarian names to make them learn about people they might not have heard of before." I also just received a donation for some books so am looking for some good sources for books. Will use Follett and their advanced search form Thanks so much, Nancy Stiner 7-12 Media Specialist Iowa Falls Community Schools Iowa Falls, Iowa nstiner@mchsi.com nstiner@po-1.iowa-falls.k12.ia.us -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
