On Sunday I posted an invitation for you to participate in a survey on
new web tools. Monday and Tuesday I sent the invitation to several
email lists. I've learned something today about Internet and email
filters I didn't know:

About 1/3 of the emails I sent were bounced because

    --d w a r f u r l is blocked (spaces in that hoping that you will be
able to get this message and it won't be blocked....(media
specialists tell me tinyurl is also blocked in many districts.)

--Some because the word d w a r f was included in the message.

--Many because the message was identified as SPAM (which I supposed
    technically it is!)

--Some because my email address ends in edu but I'm sending it
through home cable account which ends in net.

--And, of course, some because the person is no longer at that
address or the email address was wrong (not a filter problem--one
    that couldn't really be helped.)

I have had over 150 complete responses to the survey already and some
great comments and ideas, so the survey information is getting out.
Thank you to all who have responded so far! The survey will remain open
until about March 1.

The d w a r f l e s s URL for the survey is:
