Wanting to get a "drop everything and read" time initiated in our school. There is a big desire to do this in our Language Arts Dept. Please help me with some statistics. How many high schools across America have a special time of silence for everyone to read? How often in a week's time? or month's time? or special library celebration date? For how long? What part of the day is best? Any reflection on how this is special in your school would be greatly appreciate. I could share resulting comments. I thought Read Across America would be a great time to have a *D*rop *E*verything *A*nd *R*ead Staff and Students! I am looking for some great stats from fellow teacher-librarians to support my plea to the admin to get this reading time going! Thanks in advance! -- Carol VanHook Teacher Librarian SOUTHEAST POLK SENIOR HIGH 8325 NE UNIVERSITY AVE PLEASANT HILL IA 50327 vanhookc@se-polk.k12.ia.us Ph: 515-957-3484 -------------------------------------------------------------------- Please note: All LM_NET postings are protected by copyright law.
