I hope everyone is finding time to enjoy their summer. In the meantime, I am seeking some information pertaining to research classes. Last year I taught an 8th grade research class. It covered the library catalog, print resources, databases, search strategies, web evaluation, citations, etc. etc. etc. I also was able to collaborate some with teachers to use this class time for their research papers. This year I have been asked to teach it again in addition to a 6th grade research class. These classes meet once a week. I am wondering if anyone has taught something similar and if they would be willing to share their curriculum. On another note, if anyone has any suggestions for interesting research projects it would be greatly appreciated as I will also be teaching an upper school research class (Gr 9-11). If there is any interest, I will post a hit.
