Have you read The cat, or, How I lost eternity by Richter? I just finished it. It is on the ALA Notable Books list and the Batchelder award list, reasons I placed it on my order list. I found the plot bizarre. I can only guess the book spoke to many others but it certainly did not speak to me. Just curious about its appeal to others....
