Hello all, Our 3rd grad SS curricullum is changing next year. They will be studying early humans and the fertile crescent - Mesopotamia (they might be doing one more civilization but we haven't heard yet).I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for non-fiction on 2-5 grade reading levels. Also, the teachers are hoping to make literature connections with picture and chapter books. Are there any picture or chapter books that take place in the time of early humans and the ancient fertile crescent civilizations (all I can think of is the Gilgamesh picture book series). thanks!
