I had a weird thing that just happened to me this am. I ended up RESETTING the projector to all DEFAULT SETTINGS before the laptop would recognize it. Have you used this laptop before with this projector? It might be that your resolution settings are incompatible. Is your laptop a Mac, they don't like all projectors especially if either unit is older. I know you have restarted but did you restart with the laptop connected to the projector and the projector ON? Our laptop will not recognize the projector if it is turned on before the projector. It really sounds like it is a compatibility issue and the laptop will not finish uploading to the projector. I would also try a different laptop and try to narrow down the issue. Could it be the RGB cord, the laptop, the projector?.....and so on. The image on the wall will only project the wall paper on her desktop - none of the icons, no files, nothing. We can see the mouse when it is moved, but that is it. It has been shutdown, restarted, unplugged & replugged. I've never seen anything like this! Do you have any ideas?
