If you select the 'Music' category on the search engine pull-down box, and search
for 'song lyrics', the first hit should be 'USA folksongs' including lyrics and
sound midi files. The site can be found here : http://www.ingeb.org/catus.html.

. There are about 14 more hits and several of them may help satisfy your research
need.
