The problem is trying to convert the laptop to an analog TV. If you have one of the 
newer LCD/Plasma units, no problem. It sounds like you don't so you will have to 
get a video converter for the video. You can easily transfer the audio with a 1/8" 
plug that has RCA audio plugs on the other end. The video converters are not 
something that most AV departments have on hand. Your best bet would be to go to a 
place like Radio Shack, Best Buy etc and tell them what you want to do.

Subject: Target: connecting laptop to TV

I have a teacher who wants to connect his laptop to the television.  Any ideas what 
I would need to do that?  Regular AV (red,yellow,white) cables don't work.
